B-Free was awarded in front of over 700 Microsoft staff and partners with the 2006 Software Solution of the Year Award.

The Managing Director of Microsoft Australia, Mr. Steve Vamos (pictured) presented the award to Lisa Fletcher and Jeff Rogers from B-Free at a gala awards night held on Hamilton Island. Jeff Rogers said that he was ecstatic over the win and that it could not have come at a better time for B-Free. “Given Microsoft’s success”, Jeff said, “it would be easy for them to rest on their laurels. Instead they have this phenomenal support network for independent software vendors and the assistance and encouragement they have given us has been outstanding”.

B-Free was incorporated in 2001 and has devoted years to the development of accounting and financial solutions. ‘B-free Small Business’ solution was released in June 2005 and cuts bookkeeping preparation time from days to under an hour. ‘B-free Personal’ solution was released in May 2006 and revolutionises the way people manage personal finances by automatically summarising bank statements into budget reports and wealth forecasts. All B-free products are web based and have been developed in Microsoft .NET.
