The Hon. Tony McGrady MP, Minister for State Development and Innovation will launch Australia’s newest and most innovative Accounting Software product at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre next Wednesday 1 June 2005.
B-Free is a Gold Coast-based, cutting-edge computer software developer – has aligned with business solutions giant MYOB, Microsoft to develop a simple easy-to-use accounting software to cut taxation reporting time from an average of two days to approximately one hour.
Small business, medium sized companies, corporations and individual taxpayers welcomed the innovation. B-Free Managing Director Jeff Rogers says the main thrust of the software is GST and BAS returns.
“Small business and individual traders have struggled with BAS statements since GST was implemented,” he says. “B-Free software calculates and reports in minutes using existing electronic data downloaded from bank statements.
“Industry-standard ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) unlocks the full potential of MYOB datafiles and custom-built business solutions. Business operators can define unique needs, extend reporting capability, integrate with other information systems and create unique business solutions.” Jeff says.
B-Free won the AusIndustry Commercialising Emerging Technologies (COMET) grant to develop the software. The federal government is supporting new business through its grant program: Backing Australia’s Ability – Building Our Future through Science and Innovation.
